Description
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position at the InstitutCurie (Paris, France) in the group of Dr. Angela Taddei studying thecompartmentation and dynamics of nuclear functions. Current work of thelab focuses on determining the spatial and temporal behavior ofchromatin and how this affects two essential functions of the genome:gene expression and the maintenance of genome integrity. To understandthese fundamental processes, we are using yeast as a model system towhich we can apply genetics, molecular biology and live advancedmicroscopy techniques (see Taddei et al. 2006, Nature 313:1408-1413).
The project aims at mapping cis- and trans- interactions of an induciblegene depending on its expression status. This will be achieved byChromosome Capture Conformation (3C) analyzed by deep sequencing andfurther confirm by live microscopy.
The candidate should have a strong background in molecular biology.Candidates with previous experience in yeast biology, genome-wideanalysis and/or statistical analysis will be favored.

Applications including a CV, names and contact details of three refereesand a summary of current and future research interests should besubmitted by e-mail to:
