Description
A postdoctoral position in computational biology, with a focus onproteomics, is available at the Sunyaev lab, Genetics Division, Brigham& Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. The position is fundedfor five years and is part of a large multidisciplinary effort aimed atthe analysis of mammalian organogenesis and development of methods fororgan engineering. The research project will be devoted to computationalapproaches to proteomics of mammalian organ development. It will involvecomputational identification of proteins and protein modifications frommass spectrometry data and bioinformatic analysis of time seriesproteomic data during endogenous and in vitro organ development. Theseanalyses will be assisted by accumulated expression data and ongoingexperimental studies and will potentially inform the quantitativemodeling of mammalian organogenesis. The project will involve a closecollaboration with Dr. Steve Gygi, Director of Taplin Mass SpectrometryFacility at Harvard Medical School, and several developmental biology, bioengineering, genomic technology and computational biology groups.
