A postdoctoral position is available to study mechanisms of chromosome segregation during mitosis in mammalian cells. Current projects in the laboratory include defining the functions of Haspin and centromeric Aurora B, and understanding the importance of centromere function for maintaining normal spindle poles. A Ph.D. or M.D. and experience of molecular and cell biology techniques, preferably in mammalian cells, is required. Knowledge of, or a strong interest in, cell division is preferred. This position is funded in part by the AICR .
