Postdoctoral Scientist positions are available in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. The main focus of the lab is on structure, function, and physiology of integral membrane proteins. X-ray crystallography, electron microscopy, or single-molecule imaging will be employed to obtain an atomic level understanding of membrane protein functions. Target proteins include but are not limited to ion and solute transporters or channels, and membrane-embedded enzymes. In addition to tackling highly challenging problems, the position offers an opportunity to learn various biophysical and biochemical techniques. Recent publications from the lab are listed below. A Ph.D. in biochemistry, biophysics or a related disciplines is required. Practical experience with structural biology, electrophysiology or protein biochemistry is desired but not essential. The expected starting date is December 1st 2012, although the exact timing is negotiable. Salary ($42000 and up) is commensurate with experience and qualification. | [作者://www.pinjiao.com
