A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, Section of Neuroradiology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center at Houston. The main goal of our research is the development and validation of imaging biomarkers, specifically MRI. This will eventually be translated to the clinic to improve the management of cancer using MRI as a diagnostic, predictive and prognostic biomarker in brain cancer and as a tool for personalized therapy and targeted therapeutic development. The research will also be the development and validation of MRI as a screening tool for genomics in brain cancer.

Highly motivated candidates with a recent Ph.D. in Computer Science, Biomedical Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, or one of the basic sciences are encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates should have strong background in medical imaging and computer skills for the application of image analysis and development of computer algorithms, and/or imaging. The qualified candidates are expected to work independently and as part of a team, with good written and oral communication skills.
