Description
Two post-doc positions are available at the University Medical CenterHamburg-Eppendorf, Department of Ophthalmology. We are investigatingmechanisms underlying degenerative retinal disorders using acute andtransgenic animal models and in vitro approaches, and are interested inthe development of stem cell-based and pharmacological strategies forthe treatment of these disorders. Our team consists of basic scientistsand clinicians and is tightly associated with the department forclinical ophthalmology. We are looking for two highly motivated andcreative young scientists (Ph.D.) with a keen interest inmultidisciplinary team work.
The successful candidates should have experience in animalexperimentation, molecular biology, cell biology and/or biochemistry. Weexpect from the successful applicant to care about the assigned projectsfrom planning phase to publication. This includes the activeparticipation in the involvement and instruction of Ph.D. and M.D.students as well as technical staff. The offered positions are full timepositions. The salary conforms with the German general labour accord forscientists (Tarifvertrag für den Öffentlichen Dienst, Stufe 13). Theinitial contract will be limited to three years.
