Description

Highly-motivated postdoctoral scientists are sought to investigatemechanisms of Transcriptional Regulation of Leukemia Stem Cells (LSC) atAlbert Einstein College of Medicine.

We are using murine models and primary patient samples to identifycritical mechanisms that drive LSC development and function, and tobetter understand the mechanisms of how transcriptional regulators (e.g.transcription factors and chromatin-remodeling factors) cause formationof LSC in myeloid malignancies. Methods to identify and study implicatedpathways include the isolation of rigorously defined stem and progenitorcells by multi-parameter high-speed FACS, transcriptional analysis, lentiviral gene transfer, functional testing by in vitro assays as wellas murine transplantation models, etc.
