Description
The Metabolism and Cancer Laboratory (MCL) at the Cancer ResearchInstitute in Montpellier, France invites applications for twopost-doctoral positions for two and three years. The laboratory is partof a recently created Research Center (IRCM) of 3000 m2 surface, whichis located at the hospital campus in a strong research environment. Itis supported and financed by French biomedical research agency Inserm,the university of Montpellier I, and the regional Cancer Center CRLC Vald’Aurele. Advanced facilities of the institute include animal housing,in vivo imaging, CGH array, and common services.
MCL is focused in particular on the study of the cross talk betweenmetabolism and cancer. Two major research subjects are currently underdevelopment. First, participation of cell cycle regulators in metabolicprocesses, such as adipose tissue, pancreas, and muscle differentiationand metabolic function. The second research subject is aimed tounderstand and target the metabolic profile of cancer cells. Inparticular, prostate and lung cancers are studied.
