Opportunities for a postdoctoral research associate are available atthe Michigan Nanotechnology Institute for Medicine and BiologicalSciences (M-NIMBS) at the University of Michigan. Candidates are soughtwith expertise in biophotonics for a project on two-photon in vivocytometry for studies of circulating cancer cells.
The research associate will work in a multidisciplinary team of cancerbiologists, chemists, and optical engineers to develop novel probes forcirculating cells. He or she will be responsible for applying recentlydeveloped two-photon technology to measurements on mouse models ofcancer. The candidate should have expertise with mammalian cell cultureand have prior experinece working with mice. The candidate also shouldhave experience in cytometry, optical measurements, and imaging.Experience with ultrafast lasers and two-photon microscopy would also be beneficial.
