This position is eligible for a $500 Employee Referral Bonus consistent with the University policy. A Postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Ophthalmology to study molecular and cellular neuroscience in the visual system. The post-doc will plan and execute a laboratory research project, focused on specific molecular and cellular theories of neuronal survival and regeneration. This individual will utilize approaches including nanotechnological, molecular, cellular and in vivo. In addition, the post-doc will have the opportunity to supervise junior trainees such as students, participate in laboratory meetings, present at national meetings, and write grants and manuscripts.

Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in neuroscience or neural physiology; a high level of skill in the technologies to be used for specific projects, and excellent English skills, both verbal and written. An appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications will be considered.
