Description
The Laboratory of Developmental Neuropharmacology at McLean Hospital hasa Postdoctoral Fellow position open immediately. The fellow willparticipate in research focused on the human molecular genetics of theCNS monoamine system, as a part of the developing research program ingenetic medicine at McLean. Using a combination of genetic and molecularmethods, we are investigating how chromosomal variations influencetissue-dependent gene expression and brain disease-related phenotype expression.
This position requires a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree. Candidates with abackground in human molecular genetics and a strong interest in thegenomic mechanisms of psychiatric illnesses are encouraged to apply.Additional training in neuroanatomy and rodent behaviors is a plus. Thesuccessful candidate will be proposed for academic appointment as aResearch Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School.Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, laboratory experience,and institutional guidelines.
