Description

The Regulatory Circuitry Laboratory is located at the new Cancer Research UK’s Cambridge Research Institute (CRI). The Institute is core- funded by Cancer Research UK and has state-of-the-art research facilities for over 20 research groups to undertake world-class research into all aspects of cancer biology.

Our laboratory employs new experimental tools, including ChIP-chip, genome-wide splice variant characterization, and microRNA regulation, to understand the in vivo dynamics and structure of mammalian transcription factor networks, particularly those involved in cancer biology. We use an integrative approach, and collaborate closely with a number of groups within the CRI: from the Genomics and Bioinformatics Core Services to other computer scientists, computational biologists, clinicians, and basic cancer biologists.

We are looking for a computational postdoctoral researcher to join our efforts who is collaborative, meticulous, scientifically adventurous, and curiosity-driven.

This post requires expertise and a good publication record from a leading computational sciences or computationally-focused genetics research group, and prior experience in transcription regulatory modelling, sequence analysis, or comparative genomics would be advantageous but not essential. A successful candidate would be able to learn most molecular biological and genomics techniques utilized in our laboratory. This post is fully supported by Cancer Research UK core funds; for professional development, the Institute strongly encourages candidate-driven efforts to obtain competitive fellowships and career development awards.
