Job Description
This is a full-time position to work in molecular pathology of lung cancer, specially neuroendocrine tumors of the lung, using molecular biology, immunohistochemistry and histopathology tools. The candidate will perform:
- Evaluation of basic lung cancer histopathological features of human and mice tissues
- Selection of tissues for tissue microarrays (TMA) preparation
- Evaluation of fluorescent and non-fluorescent immunohistochemistry using image analysis on TMA and whole sections
- FISH evaluation
- Laser capture microdissection of tissues
- DNA and RNA extraction from microdissected and non-microdissected frozen and formalin-fixed tissues
- PCR for mutational, methylation and gene expression analyses
Requirements: The successful candidate will have experience in histopathology and immunohistochemistry.
Preferred: Experience in molecular biology, tissue microdissection and cell culture will be an asset.
