Description

A postdoctoral research position is available in the laboratory of Dr. David Underhill from the Immunobiology Research Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at UCLA in Los Angeles, CA.

The successful applicant will participate in a dynamic program exploring molecular mechanisms of activation of innate inflammatory responses. Specific interests of the group include innate pattern recognition receptors utilized by macrophages and dendritic cells and understanding how different sets of signals modulate inflammatory responses and subsequent adaptive immune responses.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree with specific training in immunology or a related field. Applicants should have experience with general molecular biology techniques, microscopy, and cell culture and mouse models of immune responses.
