Two postdoctoral fellow positions are immediately available to study mechanisms of neurodegenerative Alzheimer’s disease (AD) in Dr. Chu Chen’s laboratory at LSU Health New Orleans, USA . The LSU Health New Orleans, Sciences Center is near the heart of historic downtown New Orleans. The Neuroscience Center is located in a modern building equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities. Dr. Chen’s laboratory employs several approaches including patch clamp electrophysiological recordings, laser multiple-photon imaging, molecular biology techniques, and behavioral tests to determine molecular mechanisms underlying pathogenesis and neuropathology of (AD) and identify new targets for prevention and treatment of AD. Applicants should have a PhD or MD in neuroscience or related fields, and experience with patch clamp recordings, optical imaging or molecular biology including genomic and epigenomic research. We are particularly interested in applicants with experience in patch-clamp recordings in brain slices. Interested individuals should forward CV along with the names and email addresses of three references to: cchen@lsuhsc.edu .
