瑞典卡罗林斯卡研究所博士后岗位
A postdoctoral position is available at the Mitochondrial Genetics Unit at the Department for Laboratory Medicine at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden. We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral researcher to join our group to study mitochondrial diseases using Drosophila melanogaster as model organism.
Mitochondrial dysfunction is increasingly seen as an important aspect in metabolic disease and has been implicated in a vast spectrum of different clinical phenotypes, such as proximal muscle weakness, cardiomyopathy, endocrine aberrations and ataxia.
In collaboration with the Centre for inherited metabolic diseases (CMMS ) at the Karolinska University hospital we investigate mutations found in patients with mitochondrial diseases. By using genetically modified flies as a tool we will study the pathophysiology of the identified human disease alleles and identify the molecular basis of these diseases.
Qualifications:
The applicant preferably has experience in fly genetics and a strong background in molecular biology and is able to work in a team to pursue his/her research.
