A postdoctoral position is available in the research group of Dr. Corinna Hess, in the Chemistry Department at Durham University. The project is part of a research programme focusing on the design of inorganic catalysts for energy-related processes and entails the development of mixed valence complexes. The postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for the development of synthetic routes to generate organic ligand frameworks, coordination chemistry, spectroscopic characterization and reactivity studies. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in organic or inorganic chemistry. Knowledge of electrochemical methods and/or inorganic spectroscopy is desirable.
