The GSF-National Research Center for Environment and Health is a member of the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centers.
The Research Group “Adult Neurogenesis and Neural Stem Cells” at the Institute of Developmental Genetics is seeking a highly-motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to the study of the molecular pathways regulating neurogenesis in the adult central nervous system. The position involves the generation of transgenic mouse models to characterize the signaling pathways regulating adult neural stem cell quiescence and proliferation.
The group is supported by the Marie Curie Excellence Team Program of the European Union, the EURYI Program of the European Science Foundation, the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, and the Bavarian Research Network “Adult Neural Stem Cells”.
Candidates should hold a PhD in biology or a related field and should be experienced in the generation of transgenic mouse models. Additional experience in signal transduction or cell biology would be beneficial.
We offer the integration into a young and dynamic research environment. The institute is highly equipped with state of the art facilities.
