Job Description:

The Babraham Institute is a charity which is world renowned for its research in life sciences that leads to new medicines and treatments for human diseases.

We seek to recruit a highly motivated scientist at PhD level to study the signalling mechanisms that regulate activation and differentiation of lymphocytes. The project, which is funded by a BBSRC project grant, will use transgenics and knockouts in components of signal transduction pathways to study the development and function of lymphocytes. The successful applicant will have a PhD in immunology or genetics with a track record in molecular biology and analysis of lymphocyte biology. They will have a strong background in the immunology of the laboratory mouse and will have demonstrated this with several significant publications. The applicant should also have interpersonal and management skills that allow them to direct support staff. The scientist will join an international team and will benefit from strong collaborative interaction inside and outside the institute as well as generous technical support.
