A postdoctoral position to investigate the 3D structure, biochemical mechanism and in vivo function of ATP-dependent protein remodeling machines.
Job Description:
A POSTDOCTORAL position is available immediately to investigate the 3D structure, biochemical mechanism and in vivo function of ATP-dependent protein remodeling machines, for instance Mol. Cell (2007) 25:261-271; Mol. Cell (2007) 25:247-260; Cell (2004) 119:653-665; Cell (2003) 115:229-240.
The position requires a PhD in one of the natural sciences relevant to structural biochemistry. Applicants must be highly motivated and must have demonstrated experience (i.e. relevant publications) in their respective fields. Recent PhD graduates and graduate students in their final year of their doctoral thesis are preferred. Experience with gene cloning, recombinant protein expression and protein purification is required. Experience with protein crystallization and 3D structure determination, site-directed mutagenesis and/or bacterial/yeast genetics is an advantage. Salary will be commensurate with experience and is in addition to a generous fringe benefit package.
