H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute A PostdoctoralResearch position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Soner Altiok atthe H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute. This is apost-graduate position in which the individual is responsible forassisting with research activities as well as conducting independentresearch projects when appropriate under limited supervision.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to work on the design,development and implementation of novel, cell-based approaches topredict and evaluate the therapeutic activity of anticancer drugs inpreclinical and clinical studies of lung cancer. A Doctorate degree inmedical or life sciences and a strong background in molecular or cellbiology are required. Experience in standard molecular biologicmethodologies, cell signaling, western blot, and basic protein chemistrytechniques are essential. Prior working experience in mouse tumor modelsis highly desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication skillsare required to work in a multidisciplinary team of research nurses anddata managers.
The H. Lee Moffitt Comprehensive Cancer Center is a modern facility onthe University of South Florida Campus that conducts research on variousaspects of Cancer Biology with emphasis on translational research. It isthe third largest Cancer Center in the US based on patient volume. Theresearch environment includes state of the art modern core facilitiesand pathogen-free modern animal facilities, access to clinical material, etc.
