Description

Applications are invited for a permanent position as professor in molecular biology at the Department of Molecular Biology, Aarhus University.

Applicants should have a strong record of original scientific production and must document research of a high international standard in molecular biology. The chair is intended to strengthen research in the area of mRNA metabolism and its coupling to cellular processes.

The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate, graduate and post graduate levels in molecular biology.

It is expected that the person appointed shows dynamic leadership, will establish a research group of the highest standard and promote the Department internationally and nationally. Ability to promote collaborative research and a demonstrated talent for inspiration of young researchers and attraction of external funding are additional qualifications.

The Faculty refers to the Ministerial Order No. 92 of 15.02.2008 (http://science.au.dk/default.asp?id=7839&;la=UK) on the appointment of teaching and research staff at the universities under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
Salary depends on seniority as agreed between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Confederation of Professional Unions.
