Job Description

A research associate position is immediately available in the Department of Physiology at Wayne State University School of Medicine. The position is supported by a NIH grant to study the early biogenesis of cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) and to decipher the ubiquitin-proteasomal degradation pathways of the wild-type and the mutant CFTR proteins. Candidates with a recent Ph.D. in cell biology, biochemistry or molecular biology are encouraged to apply. Priority will be given to applicants with training in molecular cloning, mutagenesis, gene expressions, shRNA/siRNA technology, immunocytochemistry and fluorescence microscopy imaging. Prior experience in ubiquitin proteasome mediated protein degradation is desirable. Salary will match with your experience and will be competitive.
