Description
The major focus of our laboratory is the investigation of signalingpathways that regulate development, growth and differentiation ofpancreatic islet cells.
We are seeking a highly talented and motivated post-doctoral researcherwith a background in cell-, developmental- and/or molecular-biology toinvestigate the mechanisms by which Akt regulates the proliferation anddifferentiation of pancreatic â-cells.
Candidates should have a proven track record or demonstratedexceptional potential during a recently-completed PhD. Experience inanimal dissection, cell culture techniques, cellular biology andmolecular techniques would be an advantage. This position would suitapplicants interested in working with different transgenic mouse modelinvolved in the regulation of pancreatic physiology and carbohydratemetabolism.
This is preferable a three year fixed-term contract. salary range isdependant upon experience.
