Billing& Collection Specialist

Billing and Collection specialist handles Commercial Insurance directbilling claims process including: Claim documents’ collection, invoicechecking, claim submission, bill reconciliation, outstanding collection,etc.. The position aims to closely monitor commercial insurance accountsand collect payment for Jiahui within the contractual period. Minimizebad debt may occur.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1 Daily hand over of commercial insurance invoices with Patient Accessteam, ensure the accuracy of the cases;

2 Tidy up claims documents received, prepare for insurance claim documents;

3 Ensure clean claim documents check, closely communicate with relevantparties (e.g. doctors, Medical Record Office, etc.) for accurateinformation, before submitting to insurance company for claim;

4 Ensure claims submitted to insurance company on regular basis andmeets requirement by the management;

5 Ensure all the claims documents are well archived in electronicformat, documents need to be easily located;

6 Follow up closely on the pending claims, consistently communicate withdifferent parties with proper tracking record;

7 Track all unpaid claims and outstanding issues closely, react onrequest raised by insurance companies efficiently;

8 Collaborate with clinical, operation and finance teams to reduceAccounts Receivables (AR);

9 Escalates customer’s feedback and potential payment related risk to superior;

10 Proper and accurate recording of payment and transaction informationinto hospital information system;

11 Meeting personal and departmental KPIs, regularly provide reports onworking outcome;

12 Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

EXPERIENCES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1 Bachelor*s degree required;

2 Ability to troubleshoot and problem solving;

3 Ability to communicate in English and Chinese, - oral&written;

4 Customer service and communications skills - oral&written;

5 2-3 years hospital billing, insurance company or insurance broker, orclaims processing experience is preferred;

6 Basic understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding languages is preferred;

7 Strong attention-to-detail personality.

8 Ability to use MC Excel, word, PPT on data analyse with good logicalthinking ability
