Responsibilitie********
Report to the CEO an******** as a member of BayRay management team.
Establish an******** the Discovery Biology function an********responsible for the ******** ******** an******** of in vitro an********vivo assays to enable all BayRay programs from early discovery to INDfiling in a fast-pace********.
Provide strategic an******** leadership to support BayRay becoming aleading technology innovation an******** discovery organization.
Contribute to cross-functional team efforts in propos********evaluat******** an******** new discovery programs base******** novelbiology ideas in areas of unmet medical needs.
Participate efforts to establishing breakthrough technologies that pushthe boundaries in complex cell/tissue-base******** an********translational in vivo models
Interpret, summar******** an******** research findings to keystakeholders (e.g. external partners, SZBL lea******** an********)an******** meetings.
Develop budget an******** projects for Discovery Biology to supportcontinue******** of BayRay.
Qualification********
PhD in life or medical sciences; post-doc experience preferred.
12+ years of drug discovery an******** hands-on an******** oexperienceswith demonstrate******** in a pharma or biotech setting.
oExpertise in assay ******** mode of action (MOA) eluc********an******** vitro/in vivo pharmacology in multiple therapeutic areas,preferre******** in oncology, ******** neurodegenerative ********metabolic ******** rare ******** virology.
oDeep understanding of preclinical PK/PD/efficacy relationships;goo******** of preclinical an******** biomarker discovery an********.
oCollaborative an********-oriente******** with strong verbal an********communication skills.
oDemonstrate******** an******** approaches to solving scientificproblems in a fast-pace******** characterize******** rigorous sciencean******** thinking.
