Position Summary
The Hea******** RabMAb development plat form will be responsible forAbcam (Hangzhou) rabbit monoclonal antibody development platform ofR&D stage (before production). Will be in charge of 5 teams, total41 employees,
•recombinant protein team
•immunization team
•Fusion an******** team
•Elisa screening team
•recombinant antibody development team
•To ensure the stable operation of platform, supporting all the NewRabMAb development p******** such as Reagent, kit an********. Ensure thedelivery of each team can meet the requirements of targe********

Essential Job Function********

People Managemen********
•Lea******** manage the Abcam (Hangzhou) RabMab development plat form
•Ensure staffing levels are adequate to support operational demandsan******** objectives
•Enhance the professional development of the plat form, for example,through ongoing training an******** annual an******** performancereviews
•Coach, train an******** direct reports an******** career advancementopportunities through training an******** activities
•Ensure policies an******** are communicate******** all plat form staffeither directly or via supervisors
•Resolve critical or escalate******** affecting staff using effectivecommunication & negotiation skills
•Address employee performance problems promptly an******** accordancewith Abcam policies an********

Process Managemen********
•Plan an******** work schedule an******** base******** new antibodydevelopment plan. Organ******** monitor an******** the platformaccording to the planne******** an******** cost. Ensure the quantityan******** of each teams’ work can meet the requirements oftarge********
•Ensure ABCAM (HANGZHOU) RabMAb plat form Key Performance Indicators aremet. These are set annually an******** in the department KPIs. Theyinclude complete on time an******** success rate at a proper level.
•Trouble shooting: Can recognize an******** problems t******** givecomments an******** proper resource to solve the problem,
•Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency an********supervisors & ultimately all team members to do the same. Driveimprovements in consultation with relate******** ensuring that bestpractice is shared
•Prepare an******** ABCAM (HANGZHOU) expense & headcount budgetswith hea******** Hangzhou PDM. Ensure that our requirements for Laborplus equipment meet the growing needs of the business
•Report to Hea******** Hangzhou PDM regularly an******** all kin********relate********. Work closely with managers in Cambridge or otheroffices. Regularly update progress in dashboar******** biweekly meeting.Give quick feedback on issues affecting the platform. This will involveweekly telephone meetings with UK.

Summary of Job Requiremen********

E******** Training & Qualification********
•PhD degree in life sciences required. Post Doc Preferred.
•Education abroa******** plus.

Experience – Work, Research, voluntary, other
•3+ years line management experience (Essential)
•A broa******** of biotech experience an******** on cell culture,molecular b******** immunology (Essential)
•Experiences of laboratory management in biology company/institute(Essential)
•Experience of monoclonal antibody development or high throughputscreening (Desirable)
•Experience of working in a team-orientate******** (Essential)
