Emergency Physician (MJ001775)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Examine, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic diseases and minorinjuries of children (above 3 years of age) and adults in the emergency room
• Obtain careful history, examine patient, and determine indication forclinical laboratory tests and imaging studies.
• Interpret test results and evaluate examination findings
• Prescribe treatments and medications according to assessmentandprovide patient education
• Determine the need to refer to specialist for further medical careand treatment
• Keep accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance withregulations and policies. 
• May be granted additional privileges based on documented proficiency
• Will agree to serve on at least one hospital committee
• Work on quality improvement activities within the department incollaboration with other emergency physicians and Department Chairperson
• Keep medical knowledge up to date via CME and medical activities
• Participate in marketing and business and development events asrequired by the Chief of Service
