DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform daily patient rounds either individually, or as part of theteam. Review subjective and objective findings including labs,diagnostic testing, vital signs, wound status, and drains and providedata to senior consultant surgeons when necessary.
2.Collaborates with chief of Surgery and Chief of Pediatrics in theestablishment of diagnoses and treatments of therapies and dischargeneeds both in the inpatient and outpatient setting.
3. Discontinue drains, dressings changes, wound assessments, staple andsuture removal, cast and splint applications and removal as indicated.
4.Writes daily progress notes on all inpatients. Writes progress notesfor each patient seen in clinic.
5. Assesses patient’s progress through extended hospital course,utilizes available resources, and intervenes as necessary to ensure thatoptimal patient outcomes are achieved.
6. Share call with surgical colleagues to insure JIH has 24 hoursurgical coverage
7. Perform independent surgery on privileged cases in consultation withthe CMO
8. Assists senior consultants on surgical cases
9. Works on quality improvement activities within the department incollaboration with other surgical team and CMO
10. Will agree to serve on at least one hospital/clinic committee
11.Will work closely with the Administrative Leader/Chairperson of theDepartment in supporting departmental goals
EXPERIENCES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
●Completed degree from and accredited Chinese or international medical university
●Completed full training in surgery in and accredited training programeither in China or abroad
●At lease 3-5 years clinical surgical experience (儿外科经验优先, 普外、胸外、泌尿外等亦可)
●Chinese fluency is required and English proficiency preferred
