Position Overview: The Duke Kunshan University Nurse, supervised byDirector of Health Service and physician in Campus Health Clinic, is animportant role in health care team. The Nurse (Live-in) position is afull-time employee who performs both day duty and night shift duringwhich often called to respond to urgent medical needs. He/she isrequired to live in campus while on night duty and accommodation isprovided.

Essential Duties:
⚫ Provide medical services in clinic during office hours: patienttriage, nurse visit, assist physician, administer treatments, disinfectand set up each examination rooms, maintain medical equipment andpharmacy, accompany students out for vaccination or health check-up,health education and promotion programs, administrative work, and otherduties assigned by clinic.
⚫ Medical Emergency Response
o Stay on the campus and answer the medical emergency phone while onduty, identify medical situation and follow emergency response protocolto develop plans and make proper response/arrangement.
o Provide basic life support when needed.
o Record/report incidents according to the protocol.
o In the case of referral patient out, working closely with othercolleagues to arrange transportation and liaise with local hospitals andaccompany patient to hospital when necessary.
⚫ University employees' job responsibilities will continue to expand inscope and depth as the University grows in size and complexity in its programs.
Required Qualifications:
⚫ Bachelor’s degree or above in nursing.
⚫ Licensed to practice nursing according to PRC regulations and able toregister in DKU clinic.
⚫ BLS/ACLS qualification.
⚫ Prior hospital experience in various departments such as OR, ER andother medical departments is highly preferred.
⚫ Good communication skills in both English and Chinese.
Preferred Qualifications:
⚫ Overseas working experience in joint venture companies or highereducation institutions is preferred.
⚫ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
⚫ Capability to respond with courteous manner to inquiries from thepublic, including students, faculty and staff, in person, or ontelephone.
⚫ Clear understanding of confidentiality issues; and maintain strictconfidentiality.
⚫ Ability to stay calm in an emergency.
