1. Examines, diagnoses, and treats acute and chronic diseases andinjuries within the scope of Family Medicine in both the outpatient andinpatient setting (optional).
2. Prepares and reviews case histories and obtains data through interviews.
3. Examines patients and determines x-ray examinations and clinicallaboratory tests required. Interprets test results and evaluatesexamination findings.
4. Conducts ward rounds (optional) and prescribes therapy.
5. Administers and prescribes treatment such as antibiotics, drugs, and compresses.
6. Performs minor surgical procedures.
7. Determines need for and assists in specialized medical care and treatment.
8. Be granted additional privileges based on documented proficiency.
9. Work on quality improvement activities within the department incollaboration with other Family Medicine physicians and Department Chairperson
10. Work closely with the Department Chairperson in supportingdepartmental goals
11. May be granted additional responsibilities based on consultationwith Department Chairperson.
12. Equally share call/coverage duties
13. Daily inpatient ward round for his/her own patients
14. Meet Standards of professional conduct and courtesy
15. Appropriate code, document and submit charges in a timely manner
16. Provide administrative support and committee assignments as requested
17. Participate in Fellow training when requested
18. Attend MAO-physicians meeting, departmental meetings, Grand Round,Committee meetings and CEO meeting when asked for
