Summarize the nature and level of work performed:
1.       Preceptor, mentor for staff nurses and nursing students toprovide personalized and cost effective care to the patient inaccordance to established hospital policies and procedures.
2.       Assist nurse manager to provide the highest standard ofpatient-centered care.
3.       Operates from a deep understanding of the totalsituation. Collaborates with other care providers to challenge andcoordinate institutional resources to maximize advocacy for patient andfamily care in achieving the most effective outcomes.

Patient Care: Interpersonal engagement and connection with the patientand/or family.
1.       Assess plan, implement and evaluate the nursing care ofpatients throughout the hospitalization.
2.       Document accurately and concisely the care provided and its outcome.
3.       Carry out investigation and treatment prescribed by the physician.
4.       Communicate and discuss patient’s response to treatment andprogress with physician and nursing colleagues assigned to patient.
5.       Participate actively in physician’s round.
6.       Prepare and assist physician with procedures.
7.       Collaborate and co-operate with physicians and other healthcare providers in the smooth delivery of patient care and service.
8.       Follow - up to ensure continuity of patient care and treatment plan.
9.       Deliver safe and competent nursing care.
10.     Demonstrate clinical skills, knowledge and critical thinking inthe delivery of patient care.
11.     Provide patient / family information and education on diseaseprevention, process and rehabilitation.
12.     Manage complex patient care in critical care area.
13.     Maintain and care in the use of the equipment and supplies.

1.       Modify interventions based on a deep understanding of patientand family needs attained through past experiences.
2.       Participate in interdisciplinary forums that promote anintegrated approach to patient care.
