The Center for Population Neuroscience and Stratified Medicine（PONS）atthe Institute of Science and Technology for Brain-InspiredIntelligence（ISTBI）, Fudan University and Shanghai Brain Centre isseeking up to five positions for Full Professors Associate Professors

representing key areas of population neuroscience, includingneuroimaging analysis, psychology/psychiatry, computer science,epidemiology/environmental systems, and（epi）genomics.

PONS is a newly established centre at ISTBI that thrives to be aworldwide leader in population neuroscience, an emerging disciplineinvestigating the complexity and heterogeneity of behaviour and mentalillness on a population level by identifying environmental and genomicfactors that shape the structure and function of the human brain.

PONS works in close partnership with the Charite（********）, one ofEurope*s largest university hospitals and research institutions,affiliated with Humboldt University and Free University Berlin, which isranked fifth best hospital in the world and best in Europe（Newsweek2019/2020）. PONS integrates neuroimaging, cognitiveneuroscience,（epi）genomics and epidemiological research with novel toolsfor environmental assessments, such as ecological momentary assessmentsusing smart phone applications, social media analyses, andsatellite-based remote sensing acquisitions. It aims at theidentification of markers and brain mechanisms of risk and resiliencefor mental illness in different environmental contexts, such aspandemics, pollution, climate change, migration or urbanicity. Thisknowledge will be applied to develop neurobehavioural interventionstargeted at causal brain mechanisms for prevention and earlyintervention of disease on a public health-relevant scale. PONS is in aunique position to address these challenges. We coordinate the GIGAconsortium（********）consisting of cohorts of up to 195.000 people,including >25.000 neuroimaging scans in China, Europe, India and theUnited States, such as the European IMAGEN（********）, STRATIFY and theIndian cVEDA（********）cohort. Our work is embedded in stronginternational collaborations and partnerships with leading researchcentres in Europe and the US, for example at Cambridge University, KingsCollege London and USC in Los Angeles, the TReNDs Centre at EmoryUniversity/Georgia Tech/GSU in Atlanta, USA.
