As a highly motivated post-doc candidate, you can take advantage of this position to deepen your preclinical research experience in an innovative working environment.

Your various tasks and responsibilities

The focus of your work in the area of preclinical research will be on the contribution to and implementation of imaging experiments in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. This includes:

Identification and validation of new biomarkers in the therapeutic areas of respiratory diseases, cardiometabolic diseases and disorders of the central nervous system
Development of methods in the field of preclinical imaging (MRI, CT, PET, SPECT, US, OI)
Implementation of experimental operations, e.g. anaesthesia, insertion of catheters and physiological monitoring, primarily of small animals
Assisting with and – after a short period of familiarization – independent operation of in vivo imaging scanners
Evaluation, backup and documentation of imaging data on PC and workstation
Your ideal qualifications

Science degree from a university with a doctorate in biology, biochemistry or a related discipline
Experience in the field of preclinical imaging (MRI, CT, PET, SPECT, US, OI)
Practical knowledge in the area of automated image analysis would be desirable
Very good command of written and spoken English
You are a communicative team player who shows considerable initiative with quick perception, a talent for organization and flexibility. The willingness to address frequently changing, complex issues, the ability to work independently on scientific topics and excellent presentation skills are further core competencies.
