Human Genetics and bioinformatics applied to Neurological Disease
Dr. Winkelmann`s lab, Department of Neurology and Neuroscience Stanford University, is seeking a post-doctoral fellow to conduct research based on next-generation sequencing and data analysis from human subjects and murine models for Neurological disorders. Approaches include large-scaleDNA, eQTL, RNAseq and miRNAseq studies of human tissue and are accomplished in collaboration with Dr. Alexander E. Urban (Psychiatry, Genetics, Genome Center) Stanford University, School of Medicine.
This position requires skill in bench work, knowledge of bioinformatics and genomics data analysis. Experience with next-generation sequencing data and related tools are of advantage. The ability to work between genomic, computational and biology disciplines is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work in a team are necessary.
