Description
As the leading research center in Europe in the field of environmentalhealth (the connecting discipline between biomedicine and environmentalresearch), scientists in the Helmholtz Center Munich analyse fundamentalprocesses of disease development, and the damage to, as well as thedefence and compensatory mechanisms of, organisms.
The Helmholtz Center Munich is a national research center of the FederalGovernment and the State of Bavaria with its headquarters in Neuherbergto the north of Munich, and is a member of the Helmholtz Association,the largest public research organisation in Germany.
The Institute of Human Genetics is working on the identification ofgenetic dispositions for rare and common disorders and thecharacterization of functional consequences of mutations and variations.High-throughput sequencing techniques and array platforms forgenotyping, copy-number analysis and mRNA expression are available atthe institute. The interdisciplinary research group focused on thegenetics on restless legs syndrome (RLS) at the Institute of HumanGenetics is offering a post-doc position at the Institute of HumanGenetics. Applicant will join an interdisciplinary research groupfocused on the genetics of restless legs syndrome (RLS).

Your Qualifications
PhD in Biology, Developmental Genetics, Neurogenetics or in a related field
Expertise in genetics, neurogenetics molecular and/or developmental biology
- Good background in developmental genetics and/or neurogenetics of advantage
