A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the Laboratory ofAllergic Diseases, NIAID. The laboratory functions as an integratedtranslational research program in the areas of pathogenesis andtreatment of allergic diseases.
The successful candidate will be involved in translational researchefforts examining the role of T lymphocytes in the pathogenesis of humanfood allergy and eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders. Currentprojects are focused on characterizing functional subsets of allergenspecific Th2 and regulatory T cells in these disorders.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree inimmunology or biology, with receipt of the last graduate degree withinthe past 5 years. A strong background in cellular and/or molecularimmunology is highly desirable. The position is available immediately.Appointment duration is up to 5 years. Stipends are commensurate witheducation and experience.
