Description
Postdoctoral position is available for 2-3 years to study genetics, cellbiology and clinical aspects of myeloproliferative disorders (MPD), inparticular the role of the JAK2-V617F mutation in the pathogenesis ofMPD (see Kralovics et al NEJM, 352: 1779, 2005, Theocharides et alBlood, 110:375-9, 2007). The studies involve the use of genomicapproaches, mouse models (Tiedt et al, Blood 2007 Epub online) andpatient samples. Familial forms of MPD and sporadic MPD will be analyzedto define new molecular lesions that are involved in the evolution ofthese diseases.
Applicants must have a Ph.D., or M.D, or equivalent with experience andcommitment for experimental leukemia research.
