Description
A Postdoctoral research position is available at LifeScan to evaluate various cell-based technologies for the treatment of diabetes. Experience in stem cell biology and/or developmental biology is preferred. Experience in the molecular/cellular mechanisms of pancreatic development, in particular insulin producing beta cells, is a plus. This position requires a working knowledge of relevant signal transduction pathways, transcription factors, and gene expression involved in respective cell proliferation and differentiation responses. Research will involve application of a broad spectrum of techniques including the use of real time-PCR, cell culture, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, protein assays, and various diabetic preclinical models.
