Description

An outstanding postdoctoral opportunity is available in the Division ofNeurochemistry at the New England Primate Research Center, HarvardMedical School, Southborough, MA. The project focuses on traceamine-associated receptor I (TAAR1) neurobiology and requires a stronglymotivated, ambitious and scholarly individual. TAAR1 is a receptor forbrain monoamines, including dopamine, norepinephrine and serotonin, andis also a direct target of psychostimulant drugs of abuse, includingmethamphetamine. Expertise in behavior characterization and drugresponse studies in rodents or primates, in vitro and ex vivo assessmentof monoamine transporter kinetics and/or monoamine receptor biology,methamphetamine-induced effects, cell signaling and gene expressionanalysis in the brain and/or neuroanatomical mapping and microscopy is required.

Must be a US citizen or permanent resident. NEPRC is located 30 milesoutside of Boston, You must be able to provide your own transportation.
