£25,134 – £32,796 pa

Limit of tenure: The funds for this post are available until 30 September 2010 in the first instance.

A senior Postdoctoral position is available in Jim Smith’s group at the Wellcome Trust/Cancer Research UK Gurdon Institute in Cambridge. The lab uses embryos of Xenopus laevis, X. tropicalis and the zebrafish to analyse the molecular basis of mesoderm formation in early development. We are particularly seeking someone to investigate the roles of T box genes in this process and to help establish a T box genetic regulatory network.

The ideal candidate will have experience in ChIP-on-Chip and similar techniques as well as some expertise in bioinformatics.
